
Founded about 40 years ago, the Foster City Tennis Club is a community organization sponsored by the City of Foster City Parks and Recreation Department and is open to interested tennis players of all levels. Home of the 2006 7.0 Mixed Doubles National Champions and 2008 7.0 Mixed Doubles NorCal Champions, the club currently has over 180 members. The club, which plays on tennis courts throughout Foster City, offers a wide variety of events including interclub and intraclub tournaments, ladder competition, social mixers, as well as sponsoring several teams at various league levels. The Foster City Tennis Club is also home to the the Peninsula Challenge Cup, a USTA-sanctioned tennis tournament held every year in June.
